Sara-mae is registered as a Yoga Therapist with the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC). The CNHC is accredited by the Professional Standards Authority for Health and Social Care. The Professional Standards Authority for Health and Social Care (PSA) is the independent government-appointed body that oversees and scrutinises the work of the nine statutory medical, health and care regulators. These include the General Medical Council (GMC), the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and the Health and Care Professionals Council (HCPC). Since March 2012 the Professional Standards Authority has also been able to accredit registers of health and care occupations that are not regulated by law and CNHC has successfully completed this process.

“Both the Government and the Professional Standards Authority (PSA) recommend that when a patient or service user chooses to visit a health or care practitioner who is unregulated, only those on an accredited register are consulted”. (Jane Ellison MP, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Public Health, November 2015).
General Medical Council guidance to doctors confirms they can refer patients to practitioners on Accredited Registers, such as CNHC.

In addition, Sara-mae is a trainee Therapeutic Psychotherapist and registered as a student with BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy).

Trauma can have a significant impact on families. At Rising Lotus Therapies, we offer family therapy using techniques of Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP), Mindfulness and other therapeutic techniques, to help families navigate the impact of trauma on their relationships and communication. Our therapists work collaboratively with families to develop personalised treatment plans that address their unique needs and goals. We use evidence-based practices to help families build communication skills, develop a deeper understanding of each other's experiences, and strengthen their relationships.
Well-being Workshops
At Rising Lotus Therapies, we offer trauma-informed well-being workshops to schools, charities and other organisations.
The therapeutic workshops offered are tailored towards young people and adults whose well being would benefit from a safe and supportive group dynamic. The workshops are delivered from a creative approach to help with anxiety, emotional regulation, building self-esteem and confidence.
Workshops are designed to incorporate aspects of Mindfulness, stress-release, creativity, skills and hobbies to take away.
Trauma-informed Yoga Therapy
At Rising Lotus Therapies, we offer trauma-informed yoga as an adjunct to therapy. Trauma can be stored in the body, and yoga can be a powerful tool for healing and integration. Our therapists are trained in trauma-informed yoga and offer individual and group sessions. We work collaboratively with clients to develop personalised yoga practices that meet their unique needs and goals.
