About Sara-mae

A trauma therapist, yoga therapist, creative therapist, family therapist, practitioner, trainer and mentor.
Sara-mae offers support to children, young people and adults who have experienced trauma and trauma related conditions, through individual and group therapeautic sessions.

The support provides understanding of trauma and how it may present within an individual and is  based upon an understanding of trauma through lived experience and from the works of Bessel Van De Kolk, Gabor Mate, Deb Dana, Daniel Siegal, Dan Hughes, Kim Golding, The ACE’s and many other reputable trauma informed pioneers and resources.

The work delivered to individuals and groups can be in the form of talk therapy, creative therapy, psycho-education around trauma, mindfulness and yoga therapy techniques.

Everything offered is person focused, with practices that are tailored to the individual’s needs.

In addition, Sara-mae is a lead tutor for Trauma-Informed Training for Yoga Teachers and affiliated with Trauma Therapy Manchester and Susi Wrenshaw. The course offers a knowledge and practical approaches of how to deliver a three phase approach to trauma recovery. Both during and following the course, I also mentor students.

I am currently training to be a psychotherapist at Level 4, BACP accredited.
